I am a practicing managed care pharmacist with a passion for innovation in managed care pharmacy. I started this blog as a space to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning) about the managed care side of pharmacy — an area that isn’t always fully explored in school or traditional roles. My goal is to help other pharmacists and students better understand how managed care works, what roles exist behind the scenes, and how this part of the profession can impact patient care and health systems at large.

Professionally, I’ve worked in roles supporting formulary development, medical information, and operational strategy at the national and state health plan level. I’ve also collaborated across teams to navigate pharmacy benefit design, drug utilization review, and quality improvement. These experiences have shown me just how much opportunity there is for pharmacists in this space.
